Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine
On your first visit, Jennifer will take a comprehensive health history and perform a Chinese medical diagnostic exam. Once she has come up with a treatment strategy your session may or may not include any of the following: acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, heat therapy, herbal prescriptions and lifestyle/nutritional counseling.
Follow-ups will be very similar, but with an abbreviated intake. We’ll go over
how things are progressing and adjust our treatment plan as needed. Please visit the ACUPUNCTURE page for more information on the Saam acupuncture style that Jennifer practices.

Herbal Dermatology
Jennifer’s protocols for skin health are primarily herbal, with acupuncture being a beneficial companion.
Initial visits involve a 45-60 minute consultation outlining the patients comprehensive health history, and any relevant information from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Once a Chinese medical diagnosis is determined, a treatment plan is put together and the patient is given options on herbal formulas, nutritional protocols, and/or vitamin/mineral supplements for their consideration.
Please see the HERBAL DERMATOLOGY page for additional information on what this type of work entails.

Microneedling
Microneedling (collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure using thin needles over the surface of the skin to stimulate your body’s own healing cascade, naturally producing collagen and elastin.

-
SMOOTH FINE LINES & WRINKLES
-
TIGHTEN SKIN
-
PROMOTE NATURAL GLOW
-
REDUCE ACNE SCARRING
-
STIMULATE HAIR GROWTH
Your skin (face or scalp) will be red and may feel warm for about 24 hours after the procedure. You will need to take some precautions regarding sun exposure and heavy exercise/sweating immediately after. But after that initial 24 hour period your skin will essentially be back to normal. If receiving microneedling for facial rejuvination you’ll start to see the effects of the natural collagen formation after a few weeks, and while the results are subtle at first, can be quite strong after a complete 4-6 month package. Microneedling for hair growth also takes a few treatments to notice the results but the beneficial effects become obvious. Results last 3-5 years, and even longer with maintenance treatments a few times a year.

Please visit the MICRONEEDLING page for additional information on recommended treatment frequency, package pricing and contraindications.
